COVID-19 update: How to make sure you receive your stimulus payment
We hope you all are healthy and well.
This week we’d like to address the question on almost everyone’s mind: when can I expect my Coronavirus Stimulus Payment from the IRS?
The first wave of COVID-19 stimulus payments from the IRS have begun arriving. If you have direct deposit on your tax refunds, your stimulus payment will also be direct deposited. Paper checks will take longer to arrive.
Make sure you receive your IRS stimulus payment
Stimulus payments have begun to go out to people who filed taxes in 2018 or 2019 and received their returns as direct deposits.
The IRS has launched a website where people who did not file taxes in 2018 or 2019 can enter their payment information so they can receive their stimulus payments. There is also a link to check on the status of your payment that just went live this week.
The IRS is committed to helping people receive their Economic Impact Payment as soon as possible. The payments, also referred to by some as stimulus payments, are automatic for most taxpayers. No further action is needed by taxpayers who filed tax returns in 2018 and 2019 and most seniors and retirees.

If you are eligible, use this guide to figure out which IRS tool to use to get your payment.
Didn’t File a Return in 2018 or 2019?
If you have a filing requirement and have not filed a tax return for 2018 or 2019, you must file a 2019 tax return to receive the payment.
If you are not required to file a 2018 or 2019 tax return, visit Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here.
